New Ad Questions Proposed Cuts To Hospital Care
The Congress is poised to provide a temporary fix to the flawed Medicare physician payment formula by cutting payments for hospital care. As the ad states, “…cutting billions of dollars from hospital care to pay for a physician payment fix is wrong and irresponsible...and will result in fewer nurses, longer waits for emergency care and less access to care and new treatments.”

New Ad Urges Congress to Support Hospital Care
The current debate over the federal deficit could have a severe impact on hospitals and their ability to continue providing care and services for their patients and communities. Negotiators are considering deep cuts to Medicare reimbursements to hospitals. Cutting Medicare payments to hospitals could overload emergency rooms, shut down trauma units and reduce patient access to the latest treatments. We need to ensure that Medicare payments to hospitals are not cut in any deficit reduction plans.
Please call your U.S. House members and U.S. Senators so that you can express your concern about the potential for cutting Medicare payments to hospitals. Ask your legislator to oppose any plans that include these reductions… and that the health of you, your family and your community is at risk.
